When can I expect my order to arrive?

You should expect to receive your glasses within 3-5 business days of placing your order, and it can often be much faster!

Do you do offer international shipping for outside India?

Due to differing regulations in different countries, we currently can only fill prescriptions and ship orders within India.

What is your return/exchange policy?

We have a 14-day, no-questions-asked return or exchange policy for all our products. If you aren’t satisfied, we can set you up with a full refund or an exchange within 14 days of receipt.

I would like to return my glasses - how do I do this?

Returns/exchanges can be a frustrating experience and Winkk tries to make it as easy as possible for you to return/exchange your glasses. Please email us at support@winkk.in with your return request within 14 days of receiving your order and we will initiate the process.

I have returned my glasses to you - what happens next?

If you have requested a replacement or adjustment, we will place your new order immediately and will contact you via phone or email should we require any further information.
If you have returned your glasses to us for a refund, you will see the funds appear on your bank statement within 5 business days of us receiving your glasses.

What do I need before placing an order?

If you’re purchasing a pair of spectacles, all you need is your prescription. Of course, you can also order our frames without prescription lenses (zero-power) if you'd like to.

Can I try out frames before buying?

We want you to look amazing in our glasses and understand the importance of getting the right frames to suit your style. To simplify the process, we’ve developed a (make it an) advanced facial recognition technology. Our virtual try-on enables you to upload photos to our site, so that you can see how they will fit on your face. Fast, simple and effective.

I made a mistake during the order. What should I do?

As soon as you can, send an email to support@winkk.in. We process orders very quickly. For this reason, please double-check your prescription and shipping details before submitting your order.

How do I track the progress of my order?

You will receive a confirmation e-mail and SMS once your order has been placed and another intimation once your order has been shipped. If you have any queries, feel free to email us at

Lenses


What are your lenses made of? Which coatings do your lenses have?

Our standard lenses are made from polycarbonate. We use polycarbonate because it is 25% thinner and 40% lighter than traditional plastic lenses with a refractive index of 1.586. Also, polycarbonate is the most impact-resistant material available in the market. All our lenses come with the following features:

  • Scratch-resistant coating
  • Anti-reflective coating
  • UV protection

For those prescriptions with a sphere stronger than +4.00 and -4.00, we encourage you to upgrade to high index 1.67 lenses. These lenses are 25% thinner than our standard polycarbonate lens.

What is the best way to clean my lenses?

The optimal way to clean your lenses is with our microfibre cleansing cloth, included with every Winkk order. Lenses can also be cleaned with cold water and should be carefully dried with a clean, dry cloth.

Frames


How do I know if a spectacle frame will fit me correctly?

All our spectacle frames have size details printed on the inside of the temple arm. The numbers refer to the lens width, bridge width, and temple arm length of your selected frame respectively. On each product page, underneath the main image of the frame, the frame measurements are listed as three numbers under Specifications > Size. We would recommend comparing the measurements of your current spectacles to the frame measurements on our site - this will give you an idea of how a pair will fit you.

What if the new frame doesn't fit perfectly?

Our frames are made of superior quality, flexible acetate or stainless steel, and are adjustable. Most optical shops are willing to make minor adjustments free of charge. If your frame is still not fitting you properly, please write in to us at

How often do you update your collection?

We pride ourselves on a being a fashion forward brand and have a team of talented designers who carefully curate a brand new collection every 6 weeks. This way you can confidently purchase our products knowing that they are brand new in line with the latest global trends in eyewear fashion.

Prescriptions


How do I get a prescription?

Simply make an appointment with your local optometrist and get an eye test conducted. At the end, the optometrist will provide you with a copy of your prescription. We recommend you ask for your pupillary distance (PD) to be mentioned on your prescription, though this is not mandatory.

How do I fill in my prescription online?

Once you’ve selected your frame, you can upload an image of your prescription to our website or manually enter the same. If you’re entering your prescription using our drop-down box, please double check that the information provided is accurate and complete.

Can I use my contact lens prescription to order glasses?

We’re afraid not. Spectacle and contact lens prescriptions are quite often different. For this reason, we would not use your contact lens prescription to make your spectacles.

Can I just order frames without prescription lenses?

Of course! Just pick out the frames you like and select the “Without Power” option. Since all our spectacle prices come included with lenses, we will fit the frames with plano (zero power) lenses. These lenses will be scratch resistant and anti-reflective and will improve the aesthetic of your glasses.

Why is there is no Cylinder (CYL) or Axis (AXI) written on my prescription?

This simply means that you do not have astigmatism, which occurs in about 50% of all prescriptions. In such a case, the optometrist will leave blank the prescription (CYL) and Axis (AXI).

Do you sell prescription sunglasses?

Unfortunately, not yet. But we hope to offer prescription sunglasses very soon.

Do you sell bifocal or progressive lenses?

We only sell single vision lenses. Bifocals and progressive lenses can be dispensed only after taking very accurate measurements of the pupillary distance and segment height relative to the selected frame. Measuring this online is simply not possible with today’s technology. We strongly encourage you to visit your optician for the same.

How strong a prescription can you fill?

The maximum prescription that we currently sell is +6.00 to -10.00 SPH (sphere) and ±2.00 CYL (cylinder). If you have a prescription not covered in this range, we recommend that you visit your optometrist and would be happy to guide you on the best options for your prescription.
